Happy Birthday Kerry :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KERRY

Today Joe brought in cupcakes as a surprise for Kerry's Birthday. We all were able to sing Happy Birthday to Kerry and enjoy some yummy cupcakes too! Gabby's suggestion on the red velvet cupcake was taken into consideration upon purchasing, thanks Gab :). Chocolate cupcakes were Lilly's favorite as is anything chocolate ( kid after my own heart ).

This was suppose to be the DOS ( Day of Surgery ) It has been moved to 7:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Today Dad had an Ultrasound to rule out any aneurysms, kidney stones, gall stones or any other foreign bodies or abnormalities. That turned into good news as everything was clear! They also took more blood samples and his white cell count is still normal and good to go.

The kids kept us busy all day and kept our mind off of things. They made the day, as long as it was, go by fast and they kept us laughing!

Lilly and Kylie have become iPad pros. Lilly likes the Disney interactive games and Kylie likes the Disneyland explorer. Kids are definitely Dad's Grandkids! Disney addicts already!

Gabby took a photo of the kids and I watching The Lorax...again!

They have free movies set up both in the patient rooms and the family rooms. It's just one more thing this hospital does to make things comfortable for the patient and their families. I was able to use the Library today to do my homework and Joe was able to do his work from the hospital too. I am very thankful my IT friends at Assumption were able to help me out with computer settings so I am able to stay connected with my class server.

So everyone pray extra hard tonight and send out all the good vibes you have so we can move onto the recovery stage and a healthy heart.

Laurie

  1. Give Mike a big kiss for me. He's going to do just fine! As for your family, there are more comforting measures that await you. You are so right, Laurie...they just can't do enough for their patients and our families. Keep us posted as you get updates....we'll all be checking in frequently. God's peace and love to you all.
